We were hired to perform some ambient lounge beats for an hour whilst guests  arrived for a pre-christmas swaray in London for some company that makes pipes for other companies. Exciting!

It was a posh gig and the tuxedo and evening dress wearers were all a little baffled by our repetitive nature and unfortunate lack of tunefulness. Not really my fault but I didn’t have time to tune up the electric guitar beforehand!

Myself and Lee packed up and left once everyone moved into the main dining area to funnily enough…dine.  They were left with a talking point for the rest of  the evening and we went for fish and chips round the corner!

We certainly made an entrance and our one hour set got the talking point that Anna (the lady who booked us and Simon’s significant other) wanted. We prefer to perform not on stages as a rule. We are an instrumental background band that is not the complete focal point of  the party, but still the major talking point!

Three versions of our signature track Going Nowhere was a treat for us and a bit different for them! Alas another gig and the ‘On Borrowed Time’ bandwagon moves on…

We were hired to provide some ‘background ambiance’ at a wedding reception for the bride and groom who booked us for spoof entertainment, Mark and Paula. I’ve got their name’s right now, I didn’t at the time -  Matt and Pauline! Again a little bit embarrassing for the band and the whole party! I was kindly corrected by the majority of the room during the meal, all at the same time!

I don’t think it helped sound checking in the middle of the first course if the truth be known.

Lee got on my nerves throughout the gig. Most notably whilst trying to use very poor word play to use the occasion (wedding), our location (Nottingham) to keep mentioning the point that the happy couple had ‘tied the notts!’ (Yes. Well at least I gave you some warning!)

The wedding guests enjoyed our set…(when it started. Did it really get started?) Anyway it turned out to be a wedding to remember for everyone!!
