What they do…
On Borrowed Time will arrive at the venue (in character) and before guests arrive to drop off their props and instruments that consists of a ‘mini’ drum kit, microphone, electric guitar and amp.
Once guests start to arrive or begin to sit down for dinner, the duo will appear, set up and sound check. Out of tune and out of touch, much to the bewilderment of everyone in the room.
Alternatively they can be ready to perform with their instruments at the ready on the guests arrival. Both work equally well. It can be up to you.
The boys will continue their ’set’ (that appears to be going absolutely nowhere) by interacting with guests and even playing their requests! This is no ordinary lounge band!
This is a highly structured routine and act. We don’t however shy away from improvisation and appreciate that every gig we’re booked for is different. We can therefore catered accordingly and to your specific requirements, i.e. info that we can use relating to a member of the party to create bemusement and essentially a talking point that we’ve been booked for.
What they don’t do…
They don’t do stages. On Borrowed Time are only a small ingredient to any party or event, but their subtleness is a big talking point.
